Why do I need cookies?
Website data can be stored by cookies. You will need cookies to shop at Mercateo.
If you do not accept cookies a shopping basket cannot be created. If you want your basket to be stored even when you close your browser window you have to make sure that cookies are allowed to be stored until they expire.

Google Chrome

1. Click the icon depicting three horizontal lines in the top-right corner
2. Click Settings
3. Click Show advanced settings… at the bottom of the page
4. In the section entitled “Privacy” click the button Content settings…
5. In the section entitled “Cookies” select the option Allow local data to be set
6. Click OK.

Internet Explorer 8 + 9

1. Click on the gear-wheel icon at the top right of the browser window.
2. Click Internet Options.
3. Change to the Privacy tab.
4. Click Advanced
5. Select Override automatic cookie handling
6. Click the button under First-party Cookies that says Accept
7. Click the button under Third-party Cookies that says Accept
8. Check the box that says Always allow session cookies
9. Click OK
10. Click Apply
11. Click OK

Firefox

1. Click the Firefox button at the top left of the browser window.
2. Click Options…
2. Change to the Privacy Settings.
3. Set “Firefox will:” to Use Custom settings for history.
4. Select Accept cookies from sites to enable cookies
5. Choose how long cookies are allowed to be stored. Select Keep until: they expire (Each cookie will be removed when it reaches its expiration date, which is set by the site that sent the cookie.)
6. Click OK.

Opera

1. Click on the Tools menu Opera.
2. Click Preferences…
3. Change to the Advanced tab, and to the cookie section.
4. Select Accept cookies.
5. Ensure “Delete new cookies when exiting Opera” is not ticked.
6. Click OK.

Safari

1. Click on the gear-wheel icon at the top right of the browser window.
2. Click Preferences…
3. Change to the Security tab.
4. Select Accept cookies Always
5. Close the dialog using the cross.
