This 285 litres recycled grit bin is ideal for storing grit/salt on commercial premises to clear snow and ice from forecourts, car parks, etc. Constructed from durable and UV-resistant recycled polyethylene, it is built to withstand extreme winter weather. It is available in three different colour options - recycled black, recycled black base with a yellow lid or a yellow base with a recycled black lid.
The black grit bin, black base and black lid are all made from recycled material which is the same quality as our non-recycled grit bins and will not discolour or deteriorate through long-term exposure to the elements.
It is fitted with an angled lid to minimise the amount of snow and ice settling on the top of the bin, ensuring ease of use in winter weather.
The design also includes channels for lifting either with a pallet truck or a forklift, which ensures the bins can still be easily positioned even when fully stocked with rock salt.
These particular grit bins are inter-stackable which makes them practical for space-saving storage throughout the summer months when not in use.
Optional Extras
To keep your stock of grit salt safe and secure from theft, an optional factory-fitted hasp and staple are available (padlock not included).
The optional Multiscoop is a versatile tool that can be used to quickly and efficiently spread grit or salt. It is manufactured from tough and durable plastic and features an all in one, leak-free design with an integrated handle for ease of use. The Multiscoop is ideal for storing inside this grit bin and can hold up to 25kg of grit.

An optional telescopic shovel can be added, which includes a clip that will allow you to fasten the shovel to the inside lid of the grit bin for convenient storage (as shown in the image).
To ensure you are thoroughly prepared for winter, we can supply this grit bin with 275kg (11 x 25kg bags) of either brown or white salt.
Please Note: If you add rock salt to your order, this will arrive in a separate delivery to the grit bin and within 3-5 working days.
