This gives the component protection from accidental submersion in 1 m of water for up to 30 minutes. Its low-profile, rear-hinged switch is designed for improved user comfort with an all-plastic construction, raised tread pattern and anti-slip pad. The pedal is medically safe, meeting IEC a60601-1nd UL 60601-1 approvals.
