Protecting rights

We ensure that your intellectual property is protected and that other property rights are respected. Product information and product images are obtained directly from the manufacturer or selected content providers.

Securing data

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are put in place to protect data. For example, we use the SSL encryption standard, and our host servers and data processing computers are in Germany.

How it works

You receive an initial consultation about how we manage order processing and customer service enquiries. In a nutshell: when a customer buys one of your products, you receive an electronic purchase order and ship it directly to them. You invoice Mercateo and get paid*.

*Automated invoicing is supported with an EDI connection.

Supplier selection
We only work with B2B verified suppliers. Our selection criteria include customer-service factors, price and logistical considerations as well as consistent quality standards, reliability and sustainability. All our suppliers have to sign our Code of Conduct as part of our Terms and Conditions.

Step 2

Supported onboarding
There is no investment on your part except for uploading your catalogue files (Excel, CSV, BMEcat) and we take it from there. Onboarding includes checking the data quality of catalogue articles and enrichment to ensure that you’re set up for success.

Step 3

Performance evaluation
Once on our platform, we evaluate your performance, such as cancelled orders, delivery times and product data that impacts on the search function and discoverability of products. We speak to you directly about the results and agree on ways to create improvements.

Step 4

Continuous development
Our free of charge, value-added services can help you identify new sales opportunities, fine-tune your pricing and amplify your strategy. We provide you with feedback from customers and regular Sales Reports that generate insight into actions needed to fulfil your market potential.
