| How to use | Mixing - When mixing by volume add 2 parts Polycell Trade Easy Sand Interior Filler to 1 part water. Mix thoroughly to form a smooth paste, adding more water or powder as necessary. Approximately 3L of water is required to mix a full 5 Kg bag and approximately 6L of water is required to mix a full 10 Kg bag. NB: Always use clean tools when mixing a new batch of filler. Application - Apply with a filling knife and smooth off with a wet blade. Setting occurs in approximately 3.5 hours depending on temperature, humidity and depth of area filled. Completion- If required, rub down with abrasive paper when fully dry. Can be over painted when dry. Clean tools and utensils in warm water immediately after use. Dependant on paint type visibility can increase. For best results to reduce visibility of filler through paint, use two top coats. |
| Surface preparation | Remove loose or flaking material. Make sure the surface is clean (no dirt or grease) and dry. Cover nail and screw heads with an oil based paint prior to application to prevent rusting. Highly absorbent and/or powdery surfaces need to be sealed in advance. |
