Innovative Wi-Fi 6 (Wireless AX) for a home network with many wireless terminal devices
The new Wi-Fi 6 standard meets the needs of networks with an ever increasing number of wireless devices. Smartphones, tablets, PCs, 4K TVs, speakers and smart lights: more and more devices are being used simultaneously on your Wi-Fi at home. Wi-Fi 6 provides for a fast, stable data stream by reducing latencies. A total bandwidth of 2,400 Mbit/s in the 5-GHz band and 600 Mbit/s in the 2.4-GHz band are provided for multiple parallel applications. Despite the high data throughput rates, Wi-Fi 6 also grants the mobile devices in the home network a longer battery life.

A strong hub in the Mesh Wi-Fi
As a Mesh Wi-Fi hub, the FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable is prepared for the highest demands in the home network. In the Mesh Wi-Fi, multiple distributed wireless hubs (for instance, the FRITZ!Box and several FRITZ!Repeaters) are combined into a single intelligent Wi-Fi network. The FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable is always the hub (Mesh Master) of the Mesh Wi-Fi, actively controlling all of the access points so that wireless devices used in the home network are always registered with the access point that offers the best connection (Mesh Wi-Fi steering).

Telephony options for everyone
The integrated VoIP telephone system has a jack for an analog telephone as well as a DECT base station for up to six cordless telephones (for instance, all FRITZ!Fon models). Over Wi-Fi, even IP telephones and smartphones are transformed into full-service telephones on your connection. With an integrated answering machine, a local telephone book and online contacts, along with a multitude of convenience functions, even the most professional telecommunications needs are fulfilled. Via DECT radio, the FRITZ!Box also controls Smart Home devices like the switchable FRITZ!DECT 200 socket and the intelligent FRITZ!DECT 500 LED light.

Versatile multimedia functions
The FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable has an integrated DVB-C tuner. One channel search suffices, and the devices detect free-to-air programs on cable television and stream them to the home network via Wi-Fi.
Please note: DVB-C streaming with FRITZ!Box Cable models is not available in every cable network.
The FRITZ!Box also brings connected USB storage media into the home network as well as online storage media and all of the contents stored there. Thanks to the integrated media server coupled with NAS, stored videos, music and pictures are made available for distribution to playback devices like smartphones. This makes the FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable a powerful and efficient platform for networked multimedia applications like IPTV, video on demand and media streaming. Yet thanks to many automated Eco mode features, the power consumption of the FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable remains extremely low.
