This FireWire cable allows to connect FireWire 800 (9-pin) equipped devices like videocameras, external enclosures, etc. to computers with a FireWire 400 (6-pin) port or vice versa. FireWire supports daisy chaining for up to six devices. The maximum data throughput is 400 Mbps.
