Due to its versatility, this bin is a very popular choice with schools and councils. The dual nature of the bin allows one half to collect litter and the other half to collect a dedicated recyclable waste stream, or if you wish, the unit can be configured to collect two separate recyclable waste streams.

The bin is fabricated using 2mm steel with an 8mm steel base welded to the walls to create a very strong, rigid and durable waste container. The bin is powder coated in your choice of our standard colours and for a more classic appearance, can be fitted with gold or silver banding. If you require a colour that is not among our standard colours, please contact us as more colours are available upon request.
The smooth surfaces of the bin mean that vinyl text decals can be fitted or as an upgrade, laser cut text can be applied. Laser cut text is available in a wide choice of waste streams and includes either a Gold or Silver backing plate to highlight the lettering. Your choice or text can be selected from “Text and Artwork” option above.
We can also have you company or school logo, town crest or motif printed and applied to your bin. We would need you to send us a large size, good quality clean image and our helpful sales team will provide a quotation.
A key feature of this bin is the slam lock fitted as standard to the door. Slam lock is a stainless-steel lock that is easily opened using a square T key and closes with a push of the door against a spring-loaded boss. The door has full 90 degrees opening which makes removing the liner much easier when it needs emptying. The hinge system is a full length pivoted steel rod and is very reliable even after thousands of openings.
To allow the bin to be fixed to the ground using fixing bolts, each bin is supplied with a pre-drilled base. If you wish to site the bin in freshly laid concrete, ground anchor feet are available as an alternative to fixing bolts. The feet bolt to the bottom of the bin and once the bin is in place and the concrete has cured, the bin is securely held in place.

Peaked Lids
The MLB range of litter bins are available with a choice of three different lids. The standard lid has a slightly kinked raised lid to allow rainwater to run off. The optional slightly peaked lid is 65mm high and the high peaked lid is 120mm high. Both of these lids are designed to discourage anti-social behaviour by not allowing people to sit on top of the bin or place rubbish on it.
Smoking Options
A choice of two types of ashtray are available and these are factory fitted and available in either a Gold or Silver powder coated finish. The circular EasyFit ashtray features a spring-loaded butterfly bottom for quick emptying in to the liner below. The standard ashtray top features a recessed drop area for cigarette and cigar butts.
A stainless-steel stubbing plate can be added to the bin lid and encourages smokers to use it, instead of the bin itself, to stub out their cigarette. The stubbing plate can be used alongside either ashtray option.
Other options such as anti-fly poster dimples, bird flaps and rat modifications are also available upon request.
