It regulates well thanks to its continuously variable AC (alternating current) output voltage with overvoltage tap. With a hardwearing, enclosed construction, it requires very little maintenance. The commutator on this transformer is silver-plated and gives a smooth linear output with zero waveform distortion and integrated overload protection. It has a low operating torque and low magnetising current. The transformer is easy to mount using screw terminals in a variety of ways – its designed to allow surface, floor or wall mounting, depending on your requirements.
