Light Guides for Front Panels - Straight. This family of light guides, from MENTOR, are designed for use in front panels and with surface mounted (SMD) LEDs. Suitable LEDs include the SIDELED, TOPLED and CHIPLED families from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. This range of light guides has a straight inject face which will sit in close proximity to the LED, at a 0° angle. The front panel light guides are made using a clear plastic material. Available in a variety of different dimensions, the light guides have a spherical, planar or Counterbore head shape. Suitable applications include; medical devices, security safety, communications equipment and industrial control..
