Vishay VSMY1850 Series IR Emitting Diodes. The VSMY1850 series, from Vishay Semiconductors, are high speed Infrared (IR) emitting diodes. They are in surface mount (SMT) packages with a standard 0805 package. The VSMY1850 packages have a clear, untinted flat top lens. Suitable applications for the VSMY1850 IREDs include; IrDA compatible data transmission, miniature light barriers, photointerrupters, optical switches, emitter sources for proximity sensors, touch panels, IR flash and 3D TV.. This series also offers high speed with a high pulse current operation.
