Mag locks use an electric current to produce a magnetic force that keeps doors closed. The counterparts (or armature plates) have been designed to complement both energise-to-hold and energise-to-release electromagnets. The armature plates are made from high-quality steel with a nickel plating thats not only corrosion-resistant but also highly magnetic, for an even stronger hold. This disc has a diameter of 50 mm and is suitable for use with a 40 mm holding magnet. These RS PRO counterparts are RoHS compliant for restricted hazardous substances. They also conform to ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 standards for safe electrostatic discharge during the handling and packaging process.
