With the 87 different pieces, which can be used separately or in combination, you can easily determine exact lengths. Each block is made from high-quality steel, which has been heat-treated for hardness and durability. The surfaces have also gone through an ultra-micro-lapping process and are heat-treated to HRC65/HV820 hardness to provide high resistance to wear and tear. This leaves a very flat, smooth finish, which is necessary to ensure the blocks fit together as tightly as possible, in the method known as wringing. Housed in a handy wooden case, each piece is clearly identified. The set comes with a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) certificate for calibration to guarantee quality.
