Sous vide cooking, a term coined by the French meaning ’under vacuum’, is a method of cooking food within a vacuum packed or sealed bag which is then immersed in a hot water bath at a precise temperature, then left to cook over a long period of time. By using this kit, the temperature of the product and water bath can be accurately monitored, ensuring it remains consistent. The self-sealing tape can be attached to the product and the probe can then be pierced through this area to read the temperature.
