RS-232 Patch Boxes. Solder patch box, a compact easy to use mini box for configuration of 25-way 'D' type RS-232 serial cables and interfaces. The unit is supplied in male to female format allowing it to be inserted in-line without requiring a gender change. The patch box is complete with 25 pre-stripped and tinned jumper wires which can be soldered into place for a permanent connection. Wire patch box, a patch box with 25 plug-in jumper wires which require no soldering and may be removed for re-use. The box is ideal for rapid troubleshooting, allowing the user to try out various configurations until the right combination is achieved. The patch box is constructed of robust ABS and supplied in male to female RS-232 'D' connector format. Both patch boxes have a 30V operating voltage and durability of 500 mating cycles.
