The SICK Ethernet IP absolute encoder provides accurate speed and position data for motion control applications. An integrated web server makes commissioning easy. 5 multi coloured LEDs on the encoder housing provide visual status information and a 32 bit fault header can be enabled in the data transfer to provide the PLC with status information on every scan of the process data. IP addresses can be assigned via DHCP or a pre-defined range can be selected using the DIP switches. The base encoder resolution is 262144 steps/turn but this can be configured via the webserver or PLC integration software tool. Inbuilt switches and the Device Level Ring (DLR) protocol enable use in Line, Star or Ring topologies.Supply voltage 10 to 30V DC Data transmission rate (baud rate) is 10 Mbit/s to 100 Mbit/s Operating torque is 0.3 Ncm
