Schneider Electric Preventa Range of Safety Relays - XPS Universal Range The XPSUDN range of safety relay modules is used for providing protection for both the user and the machine through immediately stopping the dangerous movement when instructed to do so from the user or if there is the detection of a problem within the safety circuit. These types of safety relays are predominantly used for monitoring applications such as: • Monitoring Emergency stop circuits • Switches activated by protection devices • Mechanical guard switches • Magnetic switch with Antivalent or 2 NC contacts • Proximity safety switch with Antivalent contacts • PNP Sensor • RFID safety switch • Type 4 light curtains Features & Benefits • Functions can be configured by selector switches on the front face • A solid-state diagnostic output with complete status information facilitates maintenance • To monitor a higher number of Antivalent contacts using this safety module, the Antivalent contacts can be connected with a NC in series and NO in parallel • 16 LEDs on the front face provide information on the monitoring circuit status • 32 terminals with a safe expansion connection • Removable terminal blocks for the connection type • Automatic, manual and monitored starts • 6 safety inputs with 7 ON/OFF configurable pulsed outputs • 1 solid-state diagnostic output with complete status information • 3 NO + 1 NC safety outputs Schneider Electric Preventa Safety Module - XPSUDN33AP • Safety levels for the relay include: Can reach PL e/category 4 for normally open relay contact conforming to ISO 13849-1, Can reach SILCL 3 for normally open relay contact conforming to IEC 62061, Can reach SIL 3 for normally open relay contact conforming to IEC 61508, Can reach PL c/category 1 for normally closed relay contact conforming to ISO 13849-1, Can reach SILCL 1 for normally closed relay contact conforming to IEC 62061 and Can reach SIL 1 for normally closed relay contact conforming to IEC 61508 • NC pair, PNP pair, Antivalent pair and OSSD pair electrical circuit type • Forms part of the Preventa safety automation range of products • This relay has a rated supply voltage of 48..240 V AC/DC - 10..10 % • The device has an internal and electronic input protection type • Associated fuse rating: 10A gG for NO relay output circuit, 4 A gG for NC relay output circuit • Conventional free air thermal current: 16A • Maximum line resistance: 60O
