RS PRO BX-150 Dry Well Calibrator Introducing the RS PRO BX-150 Drywell Calibrator, designed for calibration and testing of thermometers or temperature probes on devices, where a high level of accuracy is required. This heat source can check a thermometer or temperature probe’s accuracy up to 300°C or 572°F and is quick and easy to set up and use. The unit weighs 220g, making it a lightweight and portable test and measurement device, ideal for use across a wide range of calibration applications. Features and Benefits: • This RS PRO dry well calibrator is suitable for checking the accuracy of RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors), thermocouples, and small bimetal thermometers in the field • This unit offers fast, accurate and easy calibrations of temperature sensors for reliable measurement results • The dry well device offers multiple sized sensor holes that accepts a wide range of temperature sensor diameters, for increased versatility across a wide variety of applications • The built-in fan cooling feature allows rapid temperature changes and the temperature can be adjusted in 0.1°C increments if necessary • Temperature measurement range from +33°C to +300°C at 20°C ambient temperature • Supplied with AC mains power cable Applications: Drywell calibrators, or block calibrators, are units that have a powerful heat source where thermometers can be inserted to check the accuracy of their measurements. It is a device that can successfully and accurately pinpoint any fluctuations/differences in the readings and is used in conjunction with a calibration device to ensure that the thermometer or thermocouple takes the most precise and accurate readings possible for reliable results. Drywell calibrators are often used in a variety of industrial and process applications. Why is the calibration of a thermometer or temperature measurement instruments important? Calibration of a thermometer or any other instrument is important to the function of the measurements being taken. The accuracy of the device ensures reliable readings being taken. If a test and measurement unit is not calibrated or the readings are inaccurate, it will directly impact the readings and data being recorded, which further impacts the overall results, for example, if a thermometer in a freezer is not calibrated, it could impact the actual temperature set in the freezer unit and result in food that could be spoiled. Why RS PRO? RS PRO is our own brand range and brings you a wide range of high-quality, great value products offering you more choice. Trusted by engineers all over the world, every part of every RS PRO product has been rigorously tested against demanding industry standards; they’re only given the RS PRO seal of approval if we’re confident of their exceptional quality, which means you can be confident too. Note: The RS PRO dry well calibrator unit is not intended for use in excessively dusty or dirty environments as this may negatively impact the general performance of the unit
