3M™ Solus™ Safety Glasses, Blue/Black frame, Scotchgard™ Anti-Fog, Clear Lens The 3M™ Solus™ Safety Glasses offer superb eye protection for users, the slim frame with padding around the temples and nose for superior comfort. These glasses wrap around the users head, for a wide field of view as well as protection from dust and debris. A removable foam gasket on the eyewear reduces the amount of exposure to debris, but it depends on the preference of the user.Fogging up is a major problem when wearing safety glasses but with the Solus™ 1000, a Scotchguard™ coating provides terrific anti-fog and anti-scratch properties that comply with K&N making requirements of EN166. The anti-fog coating outlasts traditional coatings, helping to increase the performance of the Solus™ in humid conditions. A Polycarbonate frame construction is impact resistant allowing it to be used in demanding environments. Features and Benefits • Slim frame safety glasses with colour accented soft temple components for a stylish and modern look • Strong polycarbonate lens for impact resistance • 3M™ Scotchgard™ Anti-Fog Coating provides superior anti-fog and anti-scratch properties, complying with K&N marking requirements of EN166 • Slim and Lightweight Design • Soft cushioning on the nose bridge • Inner padding on temples for increased comfort and stability when worn FAQs What are the potential eye hazards at work? There are a number of potential eyes hazards that require eye protection, these include: • Radiation (Visible light, heat or infrared radiation or lasers). • Projectiles (Dust, concrete, metal, wood and plastic). • Chemicals (Splashes and fumes) • Bloodborne pathogens from blood or body fluids Can you use prescription glasses as Safety Glasses? These two are not the same, safety glasses provide optimal protection for your eyes on your job. Safety glasses are generally made from different materials or different thicknesses in order to withstand the impact of flying objects or hazardous materials. Prescription lenses in normal glasses have a primary objective to correct vision and provide little to no protection from hazardous materials.
