The MCP3201 12-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) combines high performance and low power consumption in a small package, making it ideal for embedded control applications. The MCP3201 features a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture and an industry-standard SPI serial interface, allowing 12-bit ADC capability to be added to any PIC® microcontroller. The MCP3201 features 100k samples/second, 1 input channel, low power consumption (5nA typical standby, 400μA max. active), and is available in 8-pin PDIP, SOIC and TSSOP packages. Applications for the MCP3201 include data acquisition, instrumentation and measurement, multi-channel data loggers, industrial PCs, motor control, robotics, industrial automation, smart sensors, portable instrumentation and home medical appliances.12-bit resolution single-ended input SPI interface ±1 LSB DNL ±1 LSB INL 100 ksps sample -40 to +85°C temperature range More information: | | Architecture: | SAR | Number of ADCs: | 1 | Resolution: | 12 bit | Sampling Rate: | 100ksps | Input Signal Type: | Pseudo Differential | Input Type: | Analogue | Mounting Type: | Surface Mount | Package Type: | MSOP | Pin Count: | 8 | Integral Nonlinearity Error: | ±2LSB | Digital Interface Type: | Serial (SPI) | Power Supply Type: | Single | Typical Single Supply Voltage: | 5 V | Dimensions: | 3 x 3 x 0.95mm | Maximum Operating Temperature: | 85 °C |
